Gateway

Pojem Gateway označuje IoT zařízení, která se využívá pro propojení dvou rozdílných sítí, zejména pro propojení s internetem. Gateway - brána - se chová jako portál mezi dvěma programy, přičemž jim umožňuje sdílet informace za pomoci komunikace mezi protokoly v počítači nebo mezi podobnými počítači. V příkladě, který testujeme v IoT FAB, Arduino posílá HTTP protokol do přístupového bodu, který je přeposílá do ThingSpeak REST API přes internet.
