RS15 IOT USE CASE ONBOARDING

Headline:

Typically, the service is related to an early development stage of an IoT implementation, where the customer is trying to find an application for this new technology. This is a trial an error situation, no pretence, no expectation.

Description:

Step 1
- The customer provides data that is expected to be used. In an interview we establish the meaning of the provided data items and in a first attempt try to formulate an early draft of a business case. Based on complexity and/or objectives this can go in different directions.

Step 2
- Based on previous experience, for Step2 there are these most common cases:

      - Case A (85% of the cases) - the client does not have any additional data, he would like to analyse the data sample that has been provided. Based on the meaning we will reverse engineer a data framework and if possible, engineer further features in order to augment the provided data set.
      - Case B (15% of the cases) - the clients use case requires additional data. Based on our discussion the additional data will be provided. Same as above, based on the meaning we will reverse engineer a data framework and if possible, engineer further features in order to augment the provided data set.

- In both cases a data model is created, typically this remains hidden to the customer. However, it is possible to request a SQL copy of the model.

Step 3
- Once the model is prepared, we can explore with the customer the different visualization techniques. In our remote sessions we use either TABLEAU or POWER BI. This exercise gives the customer a good understanding of the nature of the data.

Step 4
- As a last step, we explore with the customer applicable and most common machine learning methods that can be applied to his data set. This is done in several different platforms and programming languages, ranging from RAPID MINER to Python.

Budget estimate:

Number of MDs depends on product and process complexity
